As the sun sets on the last day of June here in Manitoba, I'm taking some time to look back on the last year of ministry.
As the sun sets on the last day of June here in Manitoba, I'm taking some time to look back on the past year of ministry. At P2C, our ministry year starts in July so today is the last day.
Although some of our metrics aren't completely official (we depend on some areas of the ministry to report them manually), I am already blown away by what God has been doing.
Remember that behind each screen is a person, each person has a story, and every story matters to God.

Each year we run a mentor survey to find out how we can support our mentors better. We are thankful for each of our committed mentors and are continually looking at ways to make the system, training, and experience one that they love. Some of the feedback we received are:
"I consider it a great blessing to be able to mentor people around the world and different cultures. I like being a missionary and never leaving my living room."
"Rewarding and challenging"
"It has been very positive; my coach is encouraging and a woman of prayer…it brings me joy and peace to do this. I also like the ever expanding resources and appreciate the work put into all of it."
At Power to Change, we want to continue to adapt to a changing world. Don't worry, we aren't changing our theology or the life-changing Gospel message, but as the culture changes around us, we adjust language and strategy to reach people that don't communicate the same way we used to. However, we don't stray from our core vision of helping people know Jesus and experience His power to change the world.
Some of the experiments we are running right now involve community. We know that discipleship happens best within a community of people sharing that interest. So we are developing communities of discipleship for people that we haven't focused on previously.
This summer, one of our staff who also works on campus a day a week is connecting with his group on summer break in a discord community, prompting them to continue getting to know Jesus better even though they are away from school.
Digital Strategies is also going to be partnering with the Students ministry to reach the virtual and hybrid university student. One of my daughter was in this situation last year, commuting to school with only one class actually on campus. Logistically, she wasn't able to attend the P2C in-person gatherings. So we are developing strategies and will test some of them over the next school year.
These are just a few of the experiments we are working on.
The 10/40 window is home to some of the most unreached people groups in the world.
We are thankful to be partnering again with a large foundation that funded our marketing to share Jesus with the less than 2% reached population people groups.
Our Francophone Director has been given the privilege to lead a global project for the 321 million people that speak French around the world. From Quebec, to France, from Cameroon to Vanuatu in the Pacific Ocean, many of the population are turning away from their traditional Catholic faith background and back to their historical faith. We are currently in the process of going through all of the resources available in French and looking for gaps that we can create new resources to fill.
